We have tons in store for Mobilize Recovery this year!
In addition to the national bus tour (schedule to be announced in early July), we've been hard at work pulling together an incredible virtual experience (Sept. 29 - Oct. 1) for all of you to join! We have plenty of keynotes, workshops, creative sessions, and special guests that we'll be rolling out over the next 60 days.
There's still time for you to submit your application to join as a participant -- and/or submit your proposal to present. The deadline is quickly approaching! So if you haven't done so already, visit https://mobilizerecovery.org/apply.php and get your name in today! We're going to keep building COMMUNITY and PURPOSE -- together!
For now, let us introduce you to the first (of many more to come) phenomenal humans who'll be joining Mobilize Recovery virtual for keynote workshops live:
GABRIELLE BERNSTEIN: Gabby was featured on Oprah’s SuperSoul Sunday as a “next-generation thought leader.”
The Oprah Winfrey Network chose Gabby to be part of the “SuperSoul 100,” a dynamic group of trailblazers whose vision and life’s work are bringing a higher level of consciousness to the world. The New York Times identified Gabby as “a new role model.” She co-hosted the Guinness World Records’ largest guided meditation with Deepak Chopra, and appears regularly as an expert on Today and Good Morning America among other networks.
Gabby connects with her community through her weekly podcast, Dear Gabby, where she offers up real-time coaching, straight talk and BIG LOVE.
DR. CORNEL WEST: Dr. Cornel West is the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Chair at Union Theological Seminary.
Dr. West teaches on the works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, as well as courses in Philosophy of Religion, African American Critical Thought, and a wide range of subjects -- including but by no means limited to, the classics, philosophy, politics, cultural theory, literature, and music.
Dr. West is the former Professor of the Practice of Public Philosophy at Harvard University and Professor Emeritus at Princeton University. Cornel West graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard in three years and obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy at Princeton.
He has written 20 books and has edited 13. He is best known for his classics, Race Matters and Democracy Matters, and for his memoir, Brother West: Living and Loving Out Loud. His most recent book, Black Prophetic Fire, offers an unflinching look at nineteenth and twentieth-century African American leaders and their visionary legacies.
Dr. West is a frequent guest on the Bill Maher Show, CNN, C-Span and Democracy Now. He has a passion to communicate to a vast variety of publics in order to keep alive the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. – a legacy of telling the truth and bearing witness to love and justice.
